Give Back to Houstonians in Need of Life-Saving Transplants When You Participate in This Run

Every day across the country, lives are saved and families are restored through the miracle of donation and transplantation. Even so, more than 10,000 Texan men, women and children wait for their second chance at life. Help Donate Life Texas continue their noble cause when you participate in the Donate Life 2nd Chance Run at Minute Maid Park on Saturday, September 7th!

Donate Life Texas and LifeGift invite you to spend a morning walking, running, volunteering or simply cheering on the crowd. This Saturday, the race village will be jam-packed with fun vendor and activity booths, such as the Donor Remembrance Tent, Kid's Zone, a photo booth, games and corn hole, refreshments, and free giveaways. There will also be a 5K, 1-Mile, or Virtual Runner events.

Love to run? Create or join a team! Teams are a great way to honor those who gave, pay tribute to those who received, offer hope to those who continue to wait and remember the lives lost while waiting for the Gift of Life. Get creative! Make team t-shirts. The largest team will be recognized on stage after the race and receive the largest team trophy!

The Donate Life Texas 2nd Chance Run hosted by LifeGift honors organ, eye and tissue donors in 109 Texas counties in North, Southeast and West Texas. While celebrating the lives saved and offering hope to those still waiting, the event raises awareness of the need for organ, eye and tissue donation across the state.

Enjoy an invigorating run through Minute Maid Park when you participate in the Donate Life 2nd Chance Run! Adults and youth are encouraged to participate. Younger runners enjoy discounted registration. To sign up or learn more information, visit www.2ndchancerun.org.
