Featuring Beautiful Music and Comedy, the Latest Piece by Frame Dance Productions Is a Must-See

This weekend, Frame Dance Productions will present audiences with a special treat! Join them for a special look at social anxiety during “Oh, I have to wash my hair” on Friday, January 24 at 8:00 p.m.

Through enchanting humor and comforting authenticity, Frame Dance explores real stories, feelings, and battles of social anxiety in their latest creation “Oh, I have to wash my hair,” an evening-length performance for 10 women at Midtown Arts and Theatre Center Houston. This new work is a collaboration with singer/songwriter Alli Villines, cellist Patrick Moore, and designer Ashley Horn.

An ode to those with a fear of judgment and making eye contact, Frame Dance invites you to come and enjoy just as you are. “Oh, I have to wash my hair” features new music by Frame Dance composers, including a surprising and engulfing electronic piece by Jake Sandridge (Houston), a highly restrained and delicately suspenseful piano piece by Paul Kerekes (New York), and a heavenly and shadowy piece for cello and playback by Hannah Selin (New York). Alli Villines, Houston’s own “ukulalli” will perform music with Patrick Moore. The composers will be present for the performance.

Set in Midtown on Main and the light rail, MATCH or the Midtown Arts & Theater Center was created to provide a home for a broad spectrum of Houston’s arts. The mission of MATCH is to be the premier performance venue for the Houston region’s small and mid-sized arts organizations and the leading destination in the region for audiences to experience a broad spectrum of the arts.

Get ready for an evening of ultra-relatable theatrics, comedy, and more during “Oh, I have to wash my hair.” Tickets range from $15.00 to $25.00 and may be purchased online at www.framedance.org or at the venue. For more information, please call MATCH at (713) 521-4533.
